MANCHES CUP RACE

15 - 17 MAY 2009

The Manches Cup is the main social and networking event on the solent for Lawyers. The Manches Cup is now one of the largest regattas in the country today hosting a series of races over the two day event.

The Manches Cup is open to competitors of all levels of experience from the complete novice to the expert yachtsmen. Entry is open to crews from law firms, in house counsel, barristers, chambers and suppliers to the legal community.

The Manches Cup event is compelling racing releasing a competitive spirit where pure camaraderie shines from all participants. The sailing event is the ideal opportunity to strengthen business relationships, encouraging teamwork and leaving every crew member with lasting memories to build upon.

Entry into the Manches Cup Regatta can be enjoyed by all - With no previous sailing experience required.

FRIDAY 15TH MAY 2009

1500hrs - Crew registration in Hamble

1900hrs - Informal evening programme at Boomerangs bar in Hamble

2100hrs - Regatta desk closes

SATURDAY 16TH MAY 2009

0900hrs - Skippers Briefing

Saturday morning is reserved for race training, practice and familiarisation.

1200hrs - Race One

1430hrs - Race Two

1700hrs - Yachts moor in Cowes Yacht Haven. The evening party in the Cowes Events Centre. Full shower and changing facilities are available in the marina.

2000hrs - Manches Cup regatta dinner is served

2130hrs - Lives music and party begins

0100hrs - Party finishes

SUNDAY 17TH MAY 2009

0800hrs - Breakfast is served in the Cowes Events Centre (tickets only)

1000hrs - Race Three

1230hrs - All yachts return to the Yacht Haven for the Manches Cup prize giving.

1300hrs - After the prize giving crews depart at their leisure.
